INFINITY I Aircraft Project

Construction Progress of My Sport Aircraft

On this page you will be able to monitor the progress of this project. As of now, the plane is not yet started nor is it quite ready at the factory. Below the picture on this page are two picture links indicating the state of things at the factory in Southern California. They plan to take this plane to the EAA Oshkosh Air show in Wisconsin, "The Greatest Show in Air" this summer in 1999. I plan to start my project late 1999 or 2000. In the mean time I'm trying to gather funds for the project. . . Ha.

Update, because of my finances, the building of my plane is not yet started, nor will it ever be started. Neither has INFINITY Aerospace been able to place their kit plane on the market either. However, because of my intense interest in airplanes, this web page will continue to point out interesting developments.

The Infinity Aerospace company is slowly gathering the money through the sale of specifically designed items of the Infinity 1 that can fit other planes. These parts are often of far greater quality than is available else where (my opinion).

I am still very interested in a canard airplane because of its anti-stalling characteristics. At present there are two planes that interest me; The Infinity 1 because of its advanced design, and the Cozy Mark IV because the builder is not dependent upon the factory for parts. If the company goes out of business, I would still be able to build the Cozy because the plans only call for standard materials that are available anywhere. In addition there are many Mark IV's flying and it has a very safe flying record.

Recently, another airplane that has come to my attention is the Cheetah XLS. I like the Cheetah because it is able to land at virtually any airport and since it is a light sport aircraft it is more economical than the other two planes already discussed. It is also easy and fast to build (150 - 200 Hours) because of its simple construction and yet it has a rugged design (+6 -4 Load Factors) that will allow you to easily land in grass landing strips.
